From the full-tilt piano-fueled boogie of "Baby Rocks" and "My Chevrolet," to the charming, heartfelt love song "Love Is a Beautiful Thing," to the emotionally charged stunner "Let Me Love You Tonight," Phil Vassar's fourth effort is immaculately produced (compliments of Mark Wright). Sonics aren't the only joy here, though. With his Virginia-bred, blue-collar background in full bloom, Vassar hits his songwriting stride on "This Is My Life," offering up the clever line, "They can kiss my price of gas" - a sentiment both blue and red states can see eye to eye on.
