Poster Children

About

Sticking to their Indie guns, Poster Children have refused to be consumed by rock 'n' roll decadence since their formation in 1987. In addition to single-handedly writing, composing and producing their Sonic Youth-inspired Noise Pop, they do everything from printing their own t-shirts to driving their own tour bus to distributing their music on their self-maintained label, 12 Inch Records. After all this tedium and drudgery, they still manage to muster up a strong sense of humor, writing songs with titles that translate to near anagrams for swear words ("If You See Kay"), as well as others with simply absurd lyrics (as in "There's a dead cat on down the river / There's a cold snap in the weather").
