Cocker and Co. embrace nature, be it green or grimy, on this excellent release. Highlights include "The Trees," "Bad Cover Version" and the epic "Wickerman," which charts the intertwining course of a polluted river and a failed relationship. An artistic triumph but it was ignored by the public and Pulp called it a day after this.

When Pulp's Jarvis Cocker became a mid-Nineties working-class hero in the U.K., the
