Queensryche

About

One might say that Queensryche came along as a culmination of '80s music and a transition into the '90s. Their emphasis on almost operatic vocals and symphonic rock arrangement, in conjunction with guitar-based art rock, nabbed them a huge audience, just as many other '80s Metal bands were beginning to look for new jobs. The strength of "Silent Lucidity" and its subsequent MTV promotion showcased this Seattle band's dramatic songwriting and multifaceted guitar playing, adding to the the band's future success.
