True hip-hop heads at heart, Mark Rae and Steve Christian are much recognized in the Downtempo world and beyond. Rae and Christian -- beat master and producer extraordinaire respectively -- create deeply soulful musical environments with smooth grooves and superb song structure. Their tracks commonly incorporate live instrumentation, and often feature strong vocals and lyrics from talented guests such as Veba. The first act to appear on Grand Central Records (which is owned by Mark Rae), this Manuncian duo are highly sought after for their ever-evolving production and remix skills  they've worked with such varied artists as Lamb, Pharcyde, Natalie Imbruglia, Simply Red and the Manic Street Preachers.
