Recliner's first album, released in 2004, definitely captured their energetic live style, with openers "Making A Friend," "Yeah" and "All Pleasure" doing their best to rip deep holes in singer Kevin Seidel's throat. It's not all thrash and burn however – "Secondhand" demonstrates their skills at a slower pace, and the beatific and trippy "Altitude" speaks of many nights in listening to Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd and the more leisurely and stripped down numbers on the original Electra Records "Nuggets" compilation.
