Elefante vocalist Reyli Barba left the group in 2004, and that same year released his first solo album, Reyli En La Luna on Sony. Though it was reputedly an amicable split, Barba did leave his bandmates high and dry, searching for a vocalist to replace him after 11 years in the group. Nonetheless, it seems the move was right for the composer, whose newfound independence freed him to compose more personal and romantic songs.
