Grizzly Man in a nutshell: this crazy little dude travels to Alaska to "protect" bears as big as tool sheds. He produces some of the greatest nature footage ever filmed, but winds up getting fatally mauled in the process. Meanwhile, director and narrator Werner Herzog waxes philosophic about the inherent savagery of nature. Richard Thompson and his guitar tie this stuff together with a sweeping folk-rock score that captures all the insanity, majesty and mystery swirling around that crazy little dude.
