An eccentric strips down to just an acoustic guitar for this live performance -- but the eccentric is Robyn Hitchcock, which speaks volumes about the quality of this four-song EP. Not only is Uncle Bob a whiz on the guitar, but Hitchcock's story-songs are so vivid, and his voice so expressive, they rarely need more than sparse accompaniment. Three of the songs are from Hitchcock's latest release, Ole! Tarantula, and two are past faves (including oldie but goodie "Queen Elvis"). Whether plugged in or acoustic, Robyn Hitchcock never fails to amaze with his weird, wonderful stories.
