El Nino Loco opens with a genuine gut-buster. It's about an American tourist in Mexico who makes a total fool of himself in very stereotypical fashion: knocking back tequila, buying cheap souvenirs and jumping off cliffs into those warm tropical waters. The rest of the album proves that, unlike his fellow country comedians, Rodney Carrington has a knack for lyrical detail and a great voice (the great Ray Stevens was the same way). Just check out tracks like "Drink More Beer" and "Bowling Trophy Wife."
