One of the two LPs Roy Hargrove released simultaneously, Nothing Serious showcases the modern jazz master at his best. He adds trombone legend Slide Hampton to his working band, and divides the time between hot Latin numbers and cool bop. Hargrove is an amazing soloist, but this set is about group dynamics. Our exclusive bonus cut is so good; it's an anomaly why it didn't make the final LP.
