Sevendust

Alpha is aptly named, as Sevendust have been together for 10-plus years now. Rather than dance the same moves they came up with at the tail end of the grunge era, though, the boys (er, men) dispense with much of the melody they are known for, instead relying on pure, weighty aggression. While they will never give up the pretty-part ghost entirely, this meaner Sevendust is a welcome sight. Try "Feed," wherein the guitars actually sound like wet metal falling from the sky, whatever that means.
