Shout Out Louds

Late-day Cure come to mind during the spazzed acoustic strum of this album's opener, "Tonight I Have To Leave It," but Shout Out Louds' sophomore effort draws just as much from other iconic alt pop staples: swinging sweet and gentle like Nico on "Blue Headlights" and nodding to the Smiths for the title of a bare bones confessional called "Meat Is Murder." Production help from Bjorn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn and John fame) ties everything together in a breezy package.
