Snow Patrol add to their hefty inventory of epic-sounding, pogo-friendly songs on their latest release, Eyes Open.. Gary Lightbody's conversational lyrics are so inviting, they almost carry Snow Patrol's songs on their own, but ultimately, it's the concise, easy-to-sing hooks that win out. Eyes Open may not be as immediate as its predecessor, but it shimmers with lush, glossy ballads and ocean-sized anthems. Faves: "You Are All I Have," "Headlights. . ." and "Chasing Cars."
