Starsailor

Leaning less on melodramatic Gallagher brother balladry and Travis' penchant for whiney nasal inflections, On the Outside finds Starsailor sounding like a tougher Ocean Colour Scene. Tube amps crank and crunch while a Hammond organ grinds hard through old Leslie speakers (a-la-Charlatans UK's late organist Rob Collins). The anthemic choruses, soaring harmonies, baggy beats and grooving rhythms beg for more wah-wah pedals being stomped on with expensive vintage trainers.
