The brilliant 1969 hit single "My Cherie Amour" wowed everybody from collegiate hippies and black urbanites to suburban grandparents. While the song showcases Wonder's newfound studio-bound experimentation, the rest of the platter, such as the follow-up hit "Yester-Me Yester-You Yesterday," proves that he was also a master soulman when in full Motown sound mode.
