A long-standing fixture on the Japanese electronic music scene, Yokota-san makes music that virtually oozes emotion. Following the logical path of development from '70s electronic pioneers like YMO through early Detroit Techno and classic Acid House, Yokota has thoroughly absorbed the idea that simply to groove is not enough. Each of his tracks, whether it's an ambient tone poem or a slinky late night Deep House gem, is a window into his unique world of sound, suffused in melody, personality and musical character.
