Tha Dogg Pound

The halcyon days of mid-'90s g-funk are long over, and the Dogg Pound has adapted. "It's Craccin All Night" features a lumbering bass and a guest spot from former blood rival P. Diddy. Sure, it's an historic collaboration, but it's also mediocre. The single, "Cali Iz Active," is more successful, strapping Snoop's charisma to a g-funky retread that is a straight banger. Elsewhere, West Coast high priestess Lady of Rage shows up on the thumping "Keep it Gangsta," while David Banner guests on "Fakna** Hoes" and Paul Wall pops in for "Make Dat P*ssy Pop."
