The Beau Brummels

Rhino released this sampler EP to drum-up support for 2005's Magic Hollow, a sprawling boxed set that spotlights the Brummels' collective genius unlike any other compilation to date. If you dig '60s pop, folk and country-rock, but you're unfamiliar with the Beau Brummels, check out this cool little package. Former Byrd Gene Clark considered "Laugh, Laugh" a desert island disc, and "Bittersweet," a previously unreleased ballad from 1968, should be soaked up by all you Randy Newman heads.
