Jonesing for another orchestral pop masterpiece a la Pet Sounds, Song Cycle and Odyssey and Oracle? Listen to Triangle RIGHT NOW! Released in 1967, the Brummels' greatest LP received a ton of critical praise but earned zero money for Warner Bros. Maybe rock fans simply couldn't wrap their heads around its prescient fusion of baroque pop, Broadway schmaltz and pastoral California folk? Nowadays, however, Triangle sounds perfect alongside Joanna Newsom and other freak-folkies. Wild.
