The Challengers

  • Genre: Surf
  • Hometown: Los Angeles

About

Though instrumental Surf albums were an abnormality in 1963, the Challengers recorded their debut LP of reverb-soaked guitar and organ-infused songs sans vocals. As a result, they rattled the burgeoning West Coast Surf music scene and, as history will support, their sound quickly caught on.
