Louisiana's Cox Family weave Gospel harmonies into their already soaring Bluegrass sound and arrive at a distinctive and arresting sound of their own. The group, which comprises patriarch Willard Cox, his son Sydney, and daughters Eviler and Suzanne, are all excellent instrumentalists. But their uncanny harmonizing skills have brought them the measure of fame and fortune that sets them apart from much of the Bluegrass world. They were "discovered" by Bluegrass superstar Alison Krauss, who brought them to Rounder Records, as well as produced a number of their albums.
