The Frames

Since their inception in the early 1990s, the Frames have toured America less than a handful of times, so this live offering, aptly titled Set List, is a real treat, as it captures the Frames at their fiery best. The audience participation in the rousing "Rent Day Blues" and the gentle "Star Star" are priceless.

On this live album, Dublin's Frames set dark Radiohead-style arena rock over textures
ranging from craggy folk grooves (complete with mandolin, piano and brushed drums) to
guitar-heavy punk thrash. The gulf between their homegrown rootsiness and Brit-pop
theatrics is a little hard to take, but the sound is plenty raw, and the songs are usually
