The Freight Hoppers

About

The Freighthoppers are an old-timey quartet that keep the hobo musical torch (or tire, rather) burning brightly. Their toothless "Jimmy Crack Corn" antics surface in the combination of banjo, fiddle, stand-up bass, and guitar pickings that form a musical museum of old folkie standards and traditional American songs. Towering male/female vocal harmonies are organic and executed with the utmost finesse. From listening to these tracks, it's obvious the band are not performing this music for the sake of novelty, but for the pure passion of recapturing days long gone by.
