About
Led by ex-Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago with his wife Laura Mallari on vocals, the Martinis probably aren't what most would expect from a Pixie. The vocals come out of left field, sounding like a cross between Cher and Black Crowes vocalist Chris Robinson.Their mixture with Santiago's signature playing ends up sounding like an awkward conversation between two complete strangers.
