Tons have tried but few have succeeded in out-cruding the Meatmen, who've built songs on stacks of swear words, vulgar pronouncements, and outlandish showmanship. Whether or not you can swallow all the crassness and intentionally offensive posturing, you have to admire their tenacious attitudes: they won't succumb to those who decry their music nor disappoint those who love it. And in the end, it's really just a big joke on the sensitive and easily miffed anyway, so it's probably better to just sit back and laugh along.
