The Meters

The Meters play music that, like their predecessors Booker T. & the MGs, makes you think along the lines of "I'm just going to listen to the rhythm section do their thing for the next 25 years" and "I feel really, really happy right now." They also turn that trick where the tightness of the music is the actual product of how loose it is, which doesn't even make sense.
