The Problematics

About

Like a good night out and one hell of a hangover to follow, the Problematics blasted through rock 'n' roll's highs and lows. Their music was a trip through a great Punk record collection, drawing from the form, function and out-of-control style of the genre's finest. Their guitars screamed Johnny Thunders and Cheetah Chrome, while the rhythm section ripped the hearts out of the Pagans, the Zero Boys and, more recently, the Devil Dogs. The Problematics were snotty and rude, but with a number of songs about girls, and even a few ballads, they demonstrated a certain sensitivity. As hot as they were, it figured they'd burn out quickly. A few singles, a 10", and an LP which collects their entire output is all that remains from this mid/late '90s band, the best thing to come from Indiana since the Zero Boys.
