Like the Kills, the White Stripes and Mates of State, Denmark's Raveonettes are a girl/guy duo that appeal to the pants 'n' hair set of the indie rock realm. With their twangy distortion, thick walls of reverb, and can't-be-bothered attitude oozing from some of the most perfect vocal harmonies ever recorded, the Raveonettes could very well be mistaken for the bastard children of the Jesus And Mary Chain. (Just listen to the piping hot single "The Great Love Sound" off Chain Gang of Love, and try not to think of the brothers Reid.) In a perfect world, the Raveonettes would share a bill with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (or B.R.M.C., an acronym that many have joked stands for Band Rehashes Mary Chain), and a reunited William and Jim Reid would headline...
