You don't need to have dirty feet or live in a dorm room with a bongwater-stained carpet in order to dig the Samples. After a major label wrote them off as a simple Jam Rock outfit, the band simply gained success through grassroots promotion and extensive college town tours. The Samples manage to retain their own sound within jazzy pop ditties, extended groove jams, and cascading love songs with harmonies that will stick in your head all day long.
