The Spinners

Among the best (and most prolific) soul groups of the 1970s, the Spinners unleashed a long line of hit singles throughout their lengthy career. This compilation focuses mostly on their earlier Motown recordings, including timeless songs like "It's A Shame" and "O-o-h Child."

"It's a Shame" was their big hit--for Motown, I mean. The date was 1970. Their only other chart record for the label was five years before that and didn't go pop for the best of reasons--quality. (Grade - C+)
