The Trouble With Sweeney

About

Joey Sweeney formed his band the Trouble With Sweeney in 1999, and within in a matter of months the group released a self-titled EP. The collective's rootsy pop sound caught the attention of the folks at Burnt Toast, who released the Trouble With Sweeny's Dear Life in 2001. Dear Life garnered as many accolades as comparisons to Jeff Tweedy and Wilco, but the album served its creators well by getting positives reviews in many music magazines. Following up on their success, the Trouble With Sweeney released Play Karen And Others a year later, and once again charmed with tales of love and heartbreak.
