This wonderfully incestuous project features an all-star cast of musicians: Michael Tighe from Jeff Buckley's band on guitar, Matt Fields from Red Red Meat on bass, ex-Dambuilders Kevin March on drums and Joan Wasser on violin, and frontman/project visionary Dave Shouse from the Grifters on guitar and vocals. Those Bastard Souls' music is Lo-Fi in production and full of pedal-to-the-metal, rocking blues riffs. Their emotional country songs go for the jugular with soaring, passionate, dislocated lyrics and angular guitar feedback.
