Three 6 Mafia

Before they won an Oscar for "It's Hard Out Here for A Pimp," Three 6 Mafia were releasing some of the hardest, most influential and addictive albums in Southern rap. On The Unbreakables -- their breakout album thanks to hit "Ridin Spinners"-- they offer an array of hypnotizing beats and lyrical menace. The hooks that are short, declarative and almost always obscene: "Shoot that thing at security, f*ck that bitch" and "the police, they about to find your body" are from the album's first two tracks alone. On "Bin Laden," they smoke a marijuana bud (named after the terrorist mastermind) that puts them under the table.
