Three Dog Night

About

Even though you only hear the good ("Shambala," "Mama Told Me Not To Come"), the marginal ("One"), and the truly awful ("Black & White," "Joy to the World") on the radio these days, there was a stretch during the 1970s where Three Dog Night had 21 hit singles in a row. Built around the soul-inflected harmonies of three vocalists and a knack for arrangements (almost all of their hits were unrecognizable covers), Three Dog Night literally controlled Earth for seven years before disbanding due to personal differences between singers Danny Hutton, Chuck Negron and Cory Wells.
