TK Webb

For the past three years, Webb had us believing that he understood ragged country-blues better than anybody since the Stones circa '71. But lo and behold, he now has a backing band called the Visions, who are helping him drown the blues in heavy fuzz a la Mark Lanegan, And like the former Screaming Trees singer, Webb is a singer-songwriter who just so happens to play heavy jammers. Ancestor comes on like second-gear stoner rock, but it eventually reveals Webb to be a masterful composer.
