Before The Train I'm On, White's bread and butter was swamp funk so groovy you'd swear the handsome Louisiana man exited the womb wearing leather pants. Of course, he was always a great lyricist, but this is where he became a singer-songwriter with an eye for detail that rivaled Springsteen's.
