An R&B trio from Oakland, Calif., Tony! Toni! Tone! consist of brothers Dwayne and Raphael Wiggons and their cousin Timothy Christian. Flipping a catchy, New Jack style reminiscent of Teddy Riley and Bel Biv Devoe, they debuted in 1988 with the album Who? and scored a big hit with their first single, the gospel-tinged "Little Walter." They released three more critically acclaimed and commercially successful LPs over the next eight years; a greatest hits collection appeared in 1997.
