Although it might not grab the listener in the same way as previous releases have, there is much to enjoy on this 2004 outing from the Chicago instrumentalists. The standout tracks are the back-to-back "The Lithium Stiffs" and "Crest", which push the group into new territories of synth-driven explorations. The explosive, propulsive "Dot, Eyes" is another strong point.
