Perhaps the first comedy team to ever animate a piece of feces just in time for Christmas, there is actually quite a lot more to Trey Parker and Matt Stone than the widely infamous, scatological, comedic genius of "Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo." While attending the University of Colorado at Boulder, the two met and immediately hit it off. Their first animated project entitled Cannibal! The Musical got them noticed by FoxLab producer Brian Graden who was so impressed with their artistry that he hired Parker and Stone to create a crudely animated short The Spirit Of Christmas which was actually the prototype for the wonderfully offensive hit cartoon series, South Park which took off in 1997, garnering perhaps more accusations of corrupting children than even Marilyn Manson. All the controversy of course garnered them the kind of priceless press that you just can't buy and inevitably, Parker and Stone made an uncensored feature film for South Park with a plot based on...you guessed it...censorship. From the success of that movie, Parker and Stone were hired to create 1997's Orgazmo and 1998's BASEketball as well as a few comedy CD's based on their South Park series. But it wasn't until 2004's Team America World Police that the new kings of lowbrow comedy would not only offend the neoconservative religious right, but many Hollywood actors as well, including Sean Penn who penned a letter of disgust to Parker and Stone, which of course guaranteed even more publicity and success for their efforts.
