Uriah Heep

The godfathers of prog metal fell silent (studio-wise) after Sonic Origami came out in 1998, but return with this, their 21st regular album, 10 years later. The melodic aspects and pop moves that garnered them the "Beach Boys of metal" tag they earned during their heyday (see Abominog) are still very much a part of the act here and, as usual, elements of metal, jazz, rock and a Band-like Americana twang (see the keyboards in "Heaven's Rain") provide longtime Heepsters all the proof they need that the band's decision to return to original material was a worthwhile one.
