Veena Sahasrabuddhe is one of the best-known and most favored classical Hindustani singers performing in India today. One listen and it's not hard to hear why: she follows the ragas through the most complicated harmonic twists and turns, adding stunning displays of note-changing vibrato that will leave you absolutely breathless. A member of the prestigious Gwalior gharana (or school), Sahasrabuddhe's style is direct and complex, and draws lightly on other traditions to supplement her own rich teachings.
