Vetiver

Vetiver's 2004 self-titled LP was a guaranteed hit with the cool kids of the indie realm long before anyone else even heard it. With My Bloody Valentine's Colm O'Ciosoig producing and appearances by Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom and Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval, the band could've recorded Men at Work covers to critical acclaim. But with delicately sparse acoustic instrumentation, classic songwriting sensibility and Andy Cabic's subtly gritty voice, Vetiver is worth every accolade bestowed.
