With late guitarist Piggy's last recorded riffs steering the album, Voivod give us their 12th and final effort in tribute to their fallen brother. With more of a heavy rock vibe than the prog metallers have previously been known for, the album features environmentally conscious tracks like "Earthache" and "Global Warming." The standouts, however, include "God Phones" and "Treasure Chase," which showcase gritty vocals, catchy melodies and chugging rhythms that switch between high energy and a slow-burning sprawl. The overall grungy texture accents Piggy's eccentric jazz-infused leads.
