Brain Thrust Mastery lops off most of the edges and follows the Killers' lead. "Ghouls" slowly builds steam until it explodes into a wall of booming guitars, while "Lethal Enforcer" echoes with cascading synth flourishes and plucking strings. However, much of the rest of the album could be from Brandon Flowers' cutting room floor.
