Weezer

By rekindling the bold, hooky approach of their first two LPs, the so-called "Red Album" might win back some of the old fans that Weezer have lost over the years. There are certainly a few duds sprinkled amid gems like "Dreamin'" and the LP's first single, "Pork and Beans," but by and large the band does what it's always done best: crank up a fuzzed-out wash of big guitars to keep Rivers Cuomo's overly self-aware writing in check.
