Whitesnake

Whitesnake may have been unspeakably huge in the '80s, but let's face it: they haven't fared so well critically in the wake of the unfortunate recording techniques of that era. Here, 10 years later, they deliver their first album of original material since Restless Heart. Gone are the awful drum sounds and silly amounts of reverb on Coverdale's voice, and while there are still some synthesizers here and there, they're buried in the mix. Admittedly, Good to Be Bad has nothing as good as "Still of the Night" on it, but there's nothing as bad as "Here I Go Again" either.
