William Tell

About

Although he'd been playing music for years, Orange County, Calif., boy William Tell really got his feet wet in the music industry as the rhythm guitarist for pop-punk outfit Something Corporate, which he joined in 2001 when he happened to be playing a gig at the same club as the band. They had just lost their rhythm guitarist and asked Tell to fill in temporarily. The job soon became permanent, and Tell was with Something Corporate for three years until he left in 2004 to pursue a solo career once again. It took two years of gigging (often backed by Something Corporate drummer Brian Ireland) before Tell was signed to New Door Records, a subsidiary of Universal. New Door released You Can Hold Me Down in 2007.
