If any sound can find sympathy in the complex network of nerves that trigger the body to lose the self in a rapid river of rushing bodies, it is X-Dream's propulsive, entrancing beats. Every one of their heavy four/four bass strikes penetrates with acuity, with the gentle piercing of a syringe that precedes total chemical release. Chimeric oscillations flutter through the air like butterflies taking their first wings from the cocoon. Each pulsation is a psychic disruption, spurring total and immediate release. X-Dream resides less in the duration of REM sleep than a moment of absolute awakening.
